This structure gives the material incredible lightness (density ~0.55 g/cm³), while also providing bending and impact resistance. As industry standards, 3mm, 5mm and 10mm thicknesses are the most commonly used. 3mm sheets are perfect for wall application and lightweight posters. The 5mm thickness is ideally balanced for self-supporting signs and freestanding applications. Thicknesses of 10 mm and above are preferred in applications such as custom-cut 3D letters or logos where a harder and more voluminous appearance is desired. Standard plate sizes are usually 305x205 cm, but it can be made into any desired size and shape by CNC cutting.

Forex is basically an indoor item. However, when the correct protective procedures are applied, it can also be preferred for short and medium-term outdoor use. At this point, professional consultancy is critical.

• Protective Lamination is a Must: Every forex print to be used outdoors must be covered with a UV-resistant, waterproof lamination foil. This coating slows down color fading and protects the surface from scratches and weathering.
• Area of Use is Limited: Forex is not suitable for locations that will be exposed to direct and continuous sunlight, rain, snow and frost for a long time. It should be considered mostly for cafe terraces under the canopy, covered balconies or temporary outdoor events (festivals, openings).

Unlimited Possibilities in Cutting and Styling

The most enjoyable aspect of Forex is that it can be cut and shaped almost unlimitedly with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) router machines. This allows designers to embody their imagination.

• Contour Cutting: We can cut your logo, any text or shape so that it extends beyond the printed area. For example, a forex board cut in the shape of a tree.
• Inner Cutting (Drilling): Areas such as windows and spaces within letters can be opened on the sheet.
• 3D Letters and Logos: Thick (10mm+) forex blocks can be shaped with CNC in the desired font style or logo form, and then the side surfaces can be painted or foil coated. This is an effective method often used in classical signmaking.
• Grooving (V-Groove): By opening channels at a certain depth on the back surface of the plate, the plate can be bent at certain points. In this way, angular, box-shaped objects can be created.

Laser cutting is also an option, but it carries the risk of yellowing at the edges due to burning of PVC and CNC router is generally preferred.

Professional Assembly and Application Solutions

Correct and safe assembly of the product is as important as production quality. Our company offers not only printing but also professional assembly services.

• Double-Sided Adhesive Tape (VHB): Ideal for sticking on flat and clean surfaces (paint, plaster, glass, laminate). Provides a clean and invisible installation.
• Adhesives: PVC-specific adhesives or silicone guns are used for a more permanent and solid hold.
• Mechanical Mounting: For large and heavy panels, screwing from the back surface or hidden clip systems (e.g. "French cleat") are recommended. These systems are both safe and allow the alignment of the panel to be adjusted.
• Suspension Systems: For applications to be suspended from the ceiling, nylon ropes, chains or invisible wire systems are used, passed through the holes drilled in the corners of the plate.
• Legged Stands: Various foot options are available for fairs or in-stores, which can be integrated or attached to the back of the forex board.

Tips for Print-Ready Design Preparation

For a perfect print, a correctly prepared design file is the first step. We ask our customers to pay attention to the following points in the files they send for printing:

• Resolution: Images must have a resolution of at least 100 dpi (preferably 150 dpi). Low resolution images will appear pixel by pixel (blocky) in print.
• Color Mode: The color mode for printing must be CMYK. Files in RGB mode may result in different colors when printed.
• Bleed and Cutting Allowance: If the background or edges of your design fill the printing area, at least 3-5 mm bleed should be added to each edge. If there is a shape to be cut, the cut contour should be specified as a separate layer.
• Font Size: For readability, the font size must be large enough for signs to be read from a distance. A simple rule: every 2.5 cm of text height provides a reading distance of approximately 10 meters.
• File Format: The safest and preferred format is a high-quality PDF/X file with all fonts and images embedded. Additionally, Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or CorelDraw (.cdr) source files are also acceptable.
